Meet the vets who work in our surgeries and their assistants.
Clive Bourne qualified as a vet from Bristol University in 1983. After spells in general practice in Bishop Auckland and Selby, North Yorkshire, he came to Llangollen in 1988 in partnership with Mr & Mrs Woodhall.
He treats all species of animal and has a particular interest in dermatology (see page 6). He has two dogs, three cats, some tropical fish and four kids(!).
Krzysztof Prokop joined the practice in summer 2009. He is Polish and qualified as a vet from the University of Warsaw in 2004. After 2 years in a mixed (pets and farm) practice in his home country he came to the UK where he has been doing veterinary work for the last 3 years.
Rosie MacDiarmid, before joining us last year, had spent 3 years working in a mixed practice in the north of Scotland. The weather this last winter has made her feel at home!! Rosie is passionate about her 5 Exmoor Ponies.
We have a loyal group of support staff.

Olga Edwards recently celebrated twenty five years at Siamber Wen. Twenty years ago she trained as a dog groomer and this has kept her busy ever since! She is also our office manager.
She owns a dog, a cat and numerous birds and smaller pets.

Lynda Griffiths started at the practice even before Olga(!) but she did leave for a while before rejoining 15 years ago. She does general nursing and works both in Llangollen and Acrefair.
Lynda has two cats.

Ann Jones is our senior member of staff in Corwen, having joined us not long after we opened in 1993. She's born and bred in the town and is well known there as an animal lover.

Siân Smith is Ann's daughter:- another animal lover with innumerable pets. She joined us in 2006 working at our Corwen branch.
Carol Pooler has worked for us previously at the Corwen branch, then left for a while before re-joining in 2007 as a part-time receptionist/nursing assistant in Llangollen. Carol has several dogs, mainly of the working variety, as her husband is a gamekeeper.
Alice Lewis is our other new recruit. She is another local girl and has recently graduated in animal behaviour. Alice also works part-time in Llangollen.
